Mike Farrell

Michael Farrell joined Serotte Law Firm in 2020 and serves as the firm’s Controller, overseeing all financial operations and supporting the firm’s strategic growth through comprehensive analysis and planning. He works closely with the firm’s partners and external financial professionals to develop annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities for sustainable growth and operational improvement.

In his role, Mike manages all aspects of financial administration, including accounts receivable and payable, payroll, budgeting, and tax coordination. He maintains robust accounting procedures, ensures regulatory compliance, and upholds the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting. Mike also plays an integral role in the firm’s financial audits and long-term planning initiatives, helping to align fiscal policies with the firm’s development objectives and overall financial health.

Mike earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo and is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed by the Virginia Board of Accountancy. His professional background includes extensive experience in small business accounting and entrepreneurial financial management, equipping him with a thorough understanding of how sound financial systems drive organizational success and adaptability.

Outside of the office, Mike enjoys golfing, traveling, and exploring new destinations. A passionate car enthusiast, he values the precision and craftsmanship of automotive engineering and the exhilaration of driving along scenic routes. He also serves his community as Treasurer for a local fire district, reflecting his commitment to service and responsible stewardship.
